Emily is a teacher, ecological anthropologist and chef. Together with her brother JT, she runs Kin & Kitchen, a culinary outfit offering nature-based private chef services and foraging classes to private clients throughout California. She has studied cooking, botany, and herbal medicine with chefs and healers throughout the Americas, from California to Chile. A gatherer at heart, Emily loves combining techniques and recipes from various culinary and healing traditions with local, wild harvested and seasonal ingredients. She lives in Bonny Doon, teaches Anthropology at De Anza College, and is passionate about supporting students of all ages to find confidence and creativity in the kitchen while cultivating a deep connection to nature.
